Well, for close family members, you pretty much know the family history as we  have all heard it.Doing some research though I have found many colorful stories  about our ancestors. Such as, Jesse James' gang used to come and have dinner  with Grandma Sadie's family when she was young. Of course there is more to the  story. Also I have a newspaper article stating that Frank James had come to eat  dinner with his cousin Jesse W James,(my great grandfather).Wendy Henry  Marshall sent a note saying she had a letter fom Margaret Thomas  Francis,stating that John Ford,(my ggg grandfather on other side) was a cousin  to the man who shot Jesse James. Wouldn't it be interesting if one side of the  family shot and killed the other.Talk about Hatfield's and McCoy's!!! I would  really like to hear from everyone on what you think of the site. If you have some stories you would like to share let me know, or if you have  info please share it.

I am also trying to include in-laws and such throughout the family, so you will  find more on here than just the Buckner family and their ancestors. Please try  to share info on anything you have.

I will try to update often, but with children and all of the things that  entails, I may not get it done as often as one would like. Please be patient.
